Wandoan and District Kindergarten

Wandoan and District Kindergarten has been available to families in our community since 1970, almost fifty years! Established by a determined group of parents, it is a place where our local children hold their fondest schooling memories, because let’s face it who doesn’t love to play and paint all day long! But what’s most amazing about our kindergarten is that for almost fifty years, local Wandoan mums and dads have volunteered many hours to run this initiative for the benefit of our town.
Our kindergarten is managed by a voluntary management committee who's role is to oversee the staff and the general operation of the service. But most importantly they are faced with the task each year of fundraising to make sure that our kindergarten can welcome another group of kindergarten children the following year as there is a significant shortfall between government funding and fees and actual operating costs.
Our little kindy is a special place in our community and so each year another band of determined parents set out to put on another amazing Wandoan Camel Races to raise funds to ensure our little kindy continues in our town for many years to come.
